Topics will include:

will include Gary Cornell - Interim Director, DeKalb Co
Planning and Sustainability, and Bill Draper - member of
the DeKalb County Community Council for our area, board member
of the Brookhaven Peachtree Community Alliance.
These two
speakers will discuss New Development & Brookhaven's Future, the
Livable Center's Study recommendations and the Brookhaven
Overlay Ordinance where you will learn about the community's
vision for new development and how you and our community can
ensure that Brookhaven develops smartly, be pedestrian friendly,
of human scale, and visually attractive; provides new and
expanded local commercial services and supports high property
values for Historic Brookhaven and area residents.

Historic Brookhaven Foundation
If you haven’t
had the chance to donate to the Historic Brookhaven Foundation
yet, please consider it! For those who have already donated –
Thank You! Your money is already making a difference in the
neighborhood.
As you may have
read in the flyer that was mailed last month, the Foundation is
solely dedicated to funding long-term improvement projects to
benefit our neighborhood.
There are four
levels for donors to consider:
Azalea Level: Up to $250
Gardenia Level: $251-$500 Hydrangea Level: $501-$1,000
Dogwood Level: $1,001
and above
So far this year, this campaign
has raised over $15,000 due to the generosity of our homeowners.
As you donate, you can specify where you would want your money
to go. The current choices are:
• To the Monument construction
project
• To the Club/Davidson Triangle project, or
• Choose to
let the Foundation decide where your donation is most needed.

Cityhood Survey
The
Historic Brookhaven Neighborhood Association sent an email to
everyone in its email database to gather views regarding the
proposed incorporation of a new city in DeKalb County that was
proposed to be called Brookhaven.
An example of some of the results:
DeKalb residents were roughly split about using the Brookhaven
name for a city, while nearly 9 in 10 Fulton residents opposed
the use of the Brookhaven name.
